Kenya Wildlife Service charges per person per twenty-four hours, and the rate varies by park and by residency. The Maasai Mara is a conservancy rather than a KWS park, and sets its own — higher — rate. This is why a Mara night costs more than an Amboseli night before accommodation is even counted.
